New Carnival Showcase #6
Welcome to the June 5, 2006 edition of new carnival showcase.
If knives shining in the dark and blood curdling screams are you're thing, check out Tastes of the darkness #1: Isolation posted at Benjamin Solah: Writer and RevolutionaryAccording to Benjamin Solah, who started Tastes of darkness, "I started the carnival to promote the talents of horror writer-bloggers out there. The first edition displayed some great flash fiction pieces and has created a buzz amongst writers in the blogosphere"
We're past tax season (well, some of us), so it may seem like the wrong time for Carnival of Taxes posted at Kay Bell says "Don't Mess With Taxes"But actually, it's the best time to start thinking about taxes ... next year's taxes, that is. Bell writes, "There's no escaping taxes, not even, as the old saying goes, via death. So the only choice is to beat them, legally of course. That's an easier task if you stay on top of taxes year round instead of just at the annual filing deadline. So Carnival of Taxes was born, to help keep tax, tax-cutting and tax-saving information out there to be maximized 365 days a year -- or, in the Tax Carnival's case, at least once a month!"
Okay, given how late this edition of the New Carnival Showcase is, I should really have read The Personal Development Carnival - June 4, 2006 posted at Creating a Better Lifethree weeks ago. Good articles on everything about personal development including procrastination. Lyman Reed says, "I started this carnival because I couldn't find another like it to submit my own articles to. I've always had an interest in personal development, and by running this carnival, I get to read all of the best personal growth and self improvement articles out there in the blogosphere. :)"
I think Carnival of Pen Drive Linux posted at pen drive linuxhas lots of focus, but not enough contributors. This is an exciting area of Linux development and, if you're involved, be sure to make a submission. Scootersnoop told me that, "Carnival of Pen Drive Linux was launched to form a centralized community used for discussing the installation of linux on usb and the practical usage of a Linux USB pocket operating system. Having installed many different Linux operating systems on a USB Pen Drive, I have consoliated what I know on this Site/Blog to share with those that might be interested in persuing this sort of project. I am looking to find others that share this interest and I have subsequently started a carnival to bring us all together."
That concludes this edition. Submit your blog article to the next edition of new carnival showcase using our carnival submission form. Past posts and future hosts can be found on our blog carnival index page.

Thanks for including me. And just to let you know, my latest edition was a few days late also... but we both got them out there eventually, and that's what matters!
